Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. Her birth date was 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was a flute, piano and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. Lennox was able to survive on a student's stipend, and worked part-time to supplement her earnings. Lennox was able to make a change in her career path following her dissatisfaction with her lack of skill in comparison with others Royal Academy students. Lennox started her professional career in 1976 as a member of the band Dragons Playground. But she quit before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent contest. The main part of her role was The singer for The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. As part of this group, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they created their own group, the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox was working on her own first album Diva. It was released in 1993. In both commercial terms and critically the album was a massive success. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was Released in the month of October 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her most loved blues and soul tunes. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. is a companion piece of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now I'll Let You Go... It's the first time she has released an independent album.
